Why partner with us

Why B&B

Our companies operate with a high degree of independence. We believe this is the foundation for nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit. This allows a high degree of freedom and accountability for each subsidiary's management team, and for business decisions to be made close to the customers and markets.

The companies we acquire have a proven track record in their markets. At the same time, we believe long-term success requires continuous development. Progress is best achieved through steady, ongoing improvement, not sudden or disruptive change. We do not impose synergies, instead we inform management teams about synergy opportunities but leave it to the companies themselves to decide which ones to pursue.

Our ABC model

Many groups acquire industrial companies. What sets Bergman & Beving apart is not only how we complete a transaction, but what happens after the deal is done.

Autonomy as a key performance driver

Our companies operate with a large degree of autonomy in all matters related to running their business. We keep a decentralised structure and strongly believe that all business decisions should be taken as close to the business as possible. From a central level, we provide reporting frameworks, goal-setting methodologies and the tools and practical support needed to achieve their performance objectives.

Based on this framework, the companies’ individual managers are expected to run their companies as best as they can and with full responsibility.

Autonomy as a key performance driver

“I believe our biggest competitive advantage is the way we are structured. The business decisions are made by talented people who know more about their business than I will ever know. They get very devoted to the businesses, and run the companies as if they were their own.“
